How long is I-20?

I-20 is about 1,540 miles long. It is the 10th longest overall and the 6th longest of the east-to-west interstates.

Where does I-20 end?

I-20 terminates on its eastern end near Florence, South Carolina, where it junctures with I-95. Its western end is approximately 2 hours east of El Paso, Texas, where it junctures with I-10.

There won’t be any shortage of diverse scenery and culture if you travel I-20! The Lower Appalachians, the Mississippi Delta, and the plains of north Texas can all be experienced on the route.

When was I-20 started and completed?

It was pieced together over many years starting in the 1950s and 60s. Various existing routes were connected with new roads and new highway was also added.

It was completed from coast to coast in October of 1984, which also marked the end of the famous Route 66.
